No — we focus on design, build, hardscaping, drainage, and outdoor construction, plus one-time lawn renovation; we don't run weekly mowing routes.

How soon can you start?

It depends on the season and our schedule — crews fill up fast in spring and summer, so the sooner you reach out, the better.

How far in advance should I book a landscaping project?

For spring installs, reach out in late winter — design and quoting take a few weeks, and the install calendar fills fast once the ground thaws. Drainage, hardscape, and construction work run most of the year, so those can often start sooner. Booking design in the off-season puts you at the front of the line.

Yes. Every project starts with a free on-site visit — we walk the property, talk through what you want, and give you a written, itemized quote. No pressure and no obligation; sometimes the honest answer is that a smaller fix than you feared will do the job.

Yes. Revolution Landscapes & Construction is licensed and insured, veteran-owned (Missouri SDVE certified), and a member of the National Association of Landscape Professionals and the Farmington Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Can my project be done in phases to spread the cost?

Yes — and for larger projects we recommend it. The design maps the whole plan; then drainage and structure typically go in first, plantings and finishes later. Each phase stands on its own, and nothing gets redone when the next phase starts. Financing is also available through US Bank Avvance.

What is clay soil and why does everyone here mention it?

Most of St. Francois County sits on dense, clay-heavy ground that drains slowly, compacts hard, and swells and shrinks with the seasons. It's why yards here hold puddles, lawns struggle in summer, and anything built without proper base prep or drainage fails early. Nearly every service we offer is adapted to it.

Our own crew — the same design-build team from the first sketch to the final walkthrough. We don't hand your project to an unknown subcontractor, and you'll have one point of contact throughout.

What does a landscaping project include?

Most projects combine design, planting, beds, mulch or rock, and clean edging — often with hardscape, lighting, or drainage. We build a scope around your property and budget.

Sketch vs. 2-D vs. 3-D design?

Small refreshes do fine with a sketch; larger or full-property projects are worth the 2-D or 3-D so you can see and adjust before building.

Spring and fall are ideal and we install year-round; scheduling is the bigger factor since crews book out fast in warm months.

What causes standing water?

Usually grading that slopes the wrong way, compacted clay soil, or downspouts dumping water in the wrong place. We find the cause first.

French drain vs. regrading?

It depends on the root cause — sometimes regrading is enough, sometimes you need a French drain or dry creek bed. We recommend the simplest fix that actually works.

Can poor drainage damage my foundation?
